This is an incomplete list of things I loved

I loved the video my friend sent me of Sandhill Cranes walking in her yard in Michigan. They lived there now—two parents and their babies—all impossibly tall. We FaceTimed and she walked outside so I could see the cranes. She called to them. They called back. This friend has been my friend for almost twenty years and I loved that too.
