I spent New Year’s in bed recovering from what I can only assume was the flu. My temperature got as high as 102.6 F. I had a cough and a stuffy nose. My head hurt. I was hot and then my bones were cold. After five days, I felt mostly recovered but not like normal. It’s been over a week now and my thoughts feel quiet, like muffled footsteps in the snow.
